Lucas Hnath’s play A PUBLIC READING OF AN UNPRODUCED SCREENPLAY ABOUT THE DEATH OF WALT DISNEY is written in screenplay form. But it’s really a play. But are those actors? Or are they the historical people they say they are? Questions of truth and fiction swirl and swirl as this play churns a fast and furious wake. To honor its screenplay structure, we bow at the altar of the man who knows EVERYTHING about Screenplays, Robert McKee. (McKee famously had a cameo in the film ADAPTATION (2002).)
