Shortly on the heels of his deranged, white-trash adaptation of Aristophanes THE BEES for the company Studio 42, Ken Urban is back on both stage and screen.
First up is the beautiful screen adaptation of his play THE HAPPY SAD starring two of Soho Rep’s very favorite actors – LeRoy McClain (BORN BAD) and Maria Dizzia (UNCLE VANYA) and directed by Rodney Evans. Below is a production shot from the set with LeRoy. Tickets can be purchased for screenings at The IFC Center in New York City here.
If you’ve not got your fill of the Urban summer (as it were) Ken’s play THE AWAKE will be on at 59E59 from now until September 8th. More details here.
