FEED

FEED originally published this short film about wig maker Amanda Miller as part of Marie Antoinette. We’ve republished it to coincide with Anne Washburn’s 10 out of 12 and with Amanda’s appearance on the panel ‘Unsung Heroes of the Theater!’

The wig, hair and makeup designer Amanda Miller is a longtime associate of Soho Rep.’s, having worked with us on David Adjmi’s Marie Antoinette, Young Jean Lee’s Lear, Annie Baker’s Uncle Vanya and, most recently, Lucas Hnath’s A Public Reading if an Unproduced Screenplay about he Death of Walt Disney. Raphael Martin, Director of New Work & FEED, joined Amanda in her studio to mull all things wigs and hair. Watch the interview below.

With thanks to Amanda Miller and the staff of her studio, as well as Kate Hopkins.

Recorded and edited by Jase Miles-Perez.
