Provocative playwright Young Jean Lee tackles her boldest work to date—a radical and moving response to "King Lear". A Lear-less "Lear" about children turning their backs on their aging fathers, Lee's irreverent tragedy challenges our love of watching terrible things.

LEAR is a project of Creative Capital and the MAP Fund, a program of Creative Capital supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation.
